Jonathan Campbell Meakins : ウィキペディア英語版 | Jonathan Campbell Meakins Jonathan Campbell Meakins (18 May 1882 – 12 October 1959) was a Canadian doctor and member of the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Meakins received his medical degree from McGill University in 1904. He became one of the first to administer and study the effects of insulin while at the University of Edinburgh. He published over 160 works, including the textbook ''The Practice of Medicine''. After studying PTSD and gas poisoning during the First World War, he became Deputy Director of Medical Services with the rank of brigadier during the Second World War.
